About

Form Bodywork + Lymphatics

"Form" is about bringing together parts to create something whole.

Receiving mindful massage on a regular basis is proven to reduce pain, stress, anxiety, depression, and sleep disturbances.

Care and connection in a judgement free space sets the intention for engaged wellness, and encourages a deep sense of calm and presence within your body.

As a bodyworker, my primary goal is to work with you, helping to facilitate change within the soft tissues; remove restriction + restore function.

While this ultimately looks a little different for everyone, my practice always begins with listening, to both the client's words and body. Through listening, I am led to the area of greatest need, then can employ my knowledge and experience in fascial and neuromuscular release, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, cupping, trigger point therapy, Thai bodywork stretches, and movement therapies to specify my treatment to what the body I'm working with needs in that moment.

Deanna is a nature lover, through and through. This lead her to pursue her Bachelor's degree in Wildlife Management. After numerous seasonal field positions -ranging from Bear Ranger in Yosemite NP to Parrot Research Tech in the beautiful Abaco, Bahamas, she settled into a more stable position in Pittsburgh, PA, where she eventually found massage therapy.

Deanna is a graduate of The Pittsburgh School of Massage Therapy. She became a Licensed Massage Therapist in 2016.

She was driven to pursue massage after her grandmother underwent a double mastectomy due to breast cancer. Witnessing the simple act of touch not only reduced her pain and swelling (through Manual Lymphatic Drainage), but also provided connection and compassion during her end of life care, has shaped Deanna's dedication to offering bodywork that honors both body and mind.

Deanna actively seeks out new research in the field of manual therapy and is committed to maintaining a thoughtful, professional, evidence-based practice. Her approach is firm, gentle, and communicative.

When she is not in session, you can find her roaming the peaks + valleys in the beautiful surroundings of Chattanooga with her dogs, traveling in her van, or tinkering with her numerous house plants.
